JENNYLYN MERCADO is thankful to GMA-7 that "Ikaw Sana" has yet to end two weeks from now but she has already started work on her new soap, "Gumapang Ka sa Lusak". She reprises the role originally played by Dina Bonnevie in the original film version, that of a feisty TV reporter who's not afraid to expose corruption in high places. "Nagpapasalamat talaga ako sa GMA at di ko na kinailangang gumapang sa lusak bago ako bigyan uli ng show," she jokes.
What about Patrick Garcia, does he have to make "gapang sa lusak" first before she'd allow him to see their son Alex Jazz? "Puede rin," she says with a laugh. "Kayo naman, maipasok lang ang title ng show."
This week in "Ikaw Sana", Jen as Eliza confronts her husband Michael (Mark Herras) when she sees him kissing Giselle (Camille Prats), who's conniving with Sofia (Pauleen Luna), to make her jealous. Eliza is so mad she decides to break up with Michael for good and turns to Luis (Frank Garcia) for comfort. Meantime, Sofia finds a new suitor in Enrico (Zoren Legaspi) who is just using her. Someone kills Gener (Tirso Cruz III), the dad of Eliza and Sofia, and Michael is accused as the killer.
