Joshua and Barbie prodded to be real life sweethearts

THREE NEW daily shows are starting on GMA-7 today. At 10:30 AM is "Diz Iz It" replacing "Sis" hosted by Bayani Agbayani, Ehra Madrigal, Grace Lee, with Maricel Soriano as guest judge. At 3 PM is "Gumapang Ka Sa Lusak" on Dramarama sa Hapon topbilled by Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo. At 6 PM is the replacement of "Ikaw Sana", the teen drama "First Time" with Barbie Forteza, Joshua Dionisio and Jhake Vargas.


The presscon of "First Time" was presented like a high school fair, complete with teen cheer leaders from School of St. Anthony who did acrobatic dance acts. One thing we like about Joshua and Barbie is they're both level-headed, even if some writers were prodding to be real life sweethearts to allegedly help promote their love team. "Maganda po si Barbie pero it's better kung close friends lang kami kasi masyado pa kaming bata para umibig," says Joshua. "15 lang ako and 12 siya. Puede namang maghintay, di ba po?"

"Saka magagalit ang mama ko," adds Barbie. "Kasi baby pa ako talaga para sa ganyan."
Both of them haven't experienced first love. "Mas priority namin ipakitang magaling kaming artista," says Joshua. "We want to do good sa 'First Time' para di magsisi ang GMA in giving us this project."
