ABS-CBN STAR MAGIC hosted a party for their talents born in January and among the celebrants is top acoustic singer Nyoy Volante who turned a year older on January 25. Nyoy is recording a new album of all original songs for MCA and will appear in the Atlantis production of the Broadway musical "Legally Blonde". He just won the Aliw Award for Best Concert Performance for his tribute to Michael Jackson, "Michael and Me". February 12 and 13, he'll do shows with Cristine Reyes and Sam Milby in Vancouver and Calgary, Canada. What can he say about the sentiments of ex-GF Nina against him? "There's nothing to say kasi wala naman kami talagang interaction," he says. "Pareho kaming nasa 'ASAP' but wala kaming chance magkita. The case is now being settled in court at mahirap magsalita pa sa issue na yan dahil sa technicality so huwag na lang nating i-tackle."
Does he hate Nina for revealing that he owes her money? "No, I feel no hatred. I just feel sad that this much hatred on her part can be caused by money. Kung mayaman lang ako, aayusin ko na yan."
Can they still be friends? "I want to be friends with everyone. But would she still want to be friends with me? Hindi na natin hawak yan. Okay rin lang for me to do shows with her, but would she want to do shows with me?"
His other past girlfriend, Jef Gaitan of "Survivor Palau" is said to have dumped him for Marvin Kiefer? "I just want to keep quiet na lang sana about Jef. Whatever happened, tanggapin ko na lang nang maluwag sa puso. I was hurt by the breakup but in fairness to her, walang kinalaman yung Marvin doon. Ayoko na lang i-discuss the issues involved. I'm now seeing someone. No more details na lang kasi she's non-showbiz."
