TV5 Full of innovative ideas

TV 5 EXECS are full of innovative ideas about the new shows they're putting up. They want to have their own showbiz talk show that will compete with those of GMA-7 and ABS like "Showbiz Central", "The Buzz", "Startalk" and " E Live". The big difference is that they will feature stars of both networks. "Di ba sa shows nila, pag GMA, puro GMA stars and programs lang ang featured at ganun din sa kabila," our source tells us. "Sa amin, mas maganda kasi lahat ng stars kasali."

Meantime, their new top acquisition, Dolphy, will make his first appearance on TV 5 as one of the judges in the grand finals of the toprated "Talentadong Pinoy" on March 6 to be held at Cuneta Astrodome. Dolphy is glad to do this as he really watches the show regularly. Host Ryan Agoncillo is also elated to have him as Dolphy is his idol when it comes to comedy.

The finals, dubbed as "Talentadong Pinoy Battle of the Champions" will be a showdown for the show's seven Hall of Famers to win the title The Philippines' First Ultimate Talentado winning P1 million cash. The youngest Hall of Famer is Joshua Davis, the Yoyo Tricker from QC. He first won in June, 2009 at the age of only 13. He sees his victories as divine guidance from his brother who died of brain tumor just before he joined "Talentado". "Gusto namin ni Kuya Bugoy na sabay sumali kasi sabay kaming nahilig at natuto sa yoyo noong 8 years old pa lang ako," he says. "Kaso, pumanaw siya bago kami nakapag-audition, so ako na lang mag-isa ang tumuloy. When I won noong June 20, birthday niya po yun kaya alam ko, he's guiding me dito."

The other finalists are Wan Lu the Puppeteer, the Tribal Dancers, The Far East Acrobatic Gutierrez Family, singer Leah Patricio, Omar the Ladder Balancer, Ferdinand Clemente or Makatatawanan, and a wildcard challenger to be chosen in comeback episodes this February.
