JUST FRIENDS, lovers no more. This is how Anne Curtis and Sam Milby describe themselves now. At the presscon of "Babe, I Love You", their first film together, Anne admits she had second thoughts about it. "To be honest, may fear ako kasi hindi kami nagbabatian noon," she says. "But I believe we owe it to our fans na noon pa nagre-request for us to do a movie na gawin ito so I consented. We've done TV shows before, 'Maging Sino Ka Man, Book 1 and 2" and 'Dyosa', but our fans have been waiting so long for a movie. So Sam and I took baby steps muna sa first days of shooting. It's a long journey. But I'm glad we're now okay and we have a fresh new start, a clean slate. We have to thank our director, Mae Cruz, for helping us. She also directed us in 'Maging Sino' so kilalang-kilala na niya kami and how to handle us. We're not yet together but who knows what the days to come will bring."
"We're enyoing very much shooting everyday," adds Sam. "We take it one day at a time. I'm glad no more away-bati for us sa ngayon."
In the movie, Anne plays Sasa, a "palengkerang" promo girl, while Sam is Niccolo, a respected professor teaching history of architecture. They are opposites in their stations in life and they also have conflicting family backgrounds, but as the saying goes, all is fair in love so watch sparks fly when these two very different people finally meet and fall in love. Also in the cast are Tetchie Agbayani as Sam's mom, Laurice Guillen, Megan Young, Nikki Valdez, Kitkat, AJ Perez, Nikki Bacolod, Guji Lorenzana, and many more. This opens on Black Saturday, April 3.
