Derek Ramsey is not verbally abusing Angelica Panganiban

SOMEONE WROTE the reason why Angelica Panganiban nearly broke up with Derek Ramsay is because he subjects her to verbal abuse. "I really don't know where that came from at kung sino nagkakalat niyan," says Derek. "But I guess, yung ganyang intriga is really part of the job, so I just take it with a grain of salt. I'm glad that our close friends know kung ano yung totoo. I'm certainly not an abusive boyfriend. As a matter of fact, our relationship ni Angel now is better than ever and we're already preparing for our three-week vacation in South Africa. I'm so excited for us to be together in another part of the world."

What can he say about EB Babe Zaida, the dancer linked to him, who got famous and is being interviewed about their non-existent relationship. "Well, she denied it naman and I'm glad she did kasi di naman talaga totoo."

After being paired with Judy Ann Santos in "Habang May Buhay", he'll soon be with Gretchen Barretto in his next soap. "I'm excited but it's also kinda intimidating kasi she's such a big name. Wala pa ko sa showbiz, Gretchen Barretto na siya. But I guess I just have to do my best. It's like when I was chosen to play Maricel Soriano's husband in 'T2'. Nagulat ako, but I was able to get over it and just did the movie."
