Diether Ocampo and Rima Ostwani going thru a "phase"

DIETHER OCAMPO has been doing nothing but soaps lately, the latest being "Rubi" with Angelica Panganiban. "My last movie was 'Nasaan Ka Man', five years ago pa, for which I won best supporting actor sa Gawad Tanglaw," he says. "Kaya nami-miss ko talaga gumawa ng movie."

He's glad to play a very meaty role in PLDT Smart Foundation-Cinemabuhay's 3rd offering, "Slow Fade", where he plays a videographer who has to confront his own mortality upon learning he's terminally ill. "I was able to relate with the role kasi my own dad died of colon cancer and he left some audio casette tapes na siyang ipinarinig sa akin later ng mom ko."

Is it true he has broken up with his non-showbiz girlfriend, Rima Ostwani? "Let's just say we're currently going through some trials, which is normal naman sa isang relasyon. But I'm hoping for the best na maaayos namin ito as she's the only who's in my heart right now. Ang hirap sa'kin, pag nagmahal ako, sobra, kaya ako lagi ang umiiyak."

What can he say about the rumor that his ex-wife Kristine Hermosa will be tying the knot with Oyo Sotto in the U.S. sometime soon? "I'm happy for them. Congratulations na lang sa kanilang dalawa."
