Edu Manzano wants a better place for the youth

NO DOUBT EDU Manzano is a big help in pulling the crowds for Gibo Teodoro when they do rallies together. As a vice presidentiable, Edu seriously believes that the answer to the poverty of our people is education. "It's better to teach a man how to fish than just go give him fish," he says.

This is why he insisteed his son Luis finish college first before joining showbiz. His younger kids, Addy and Enzo, are also getting offers to join tinseltown and again, he tells them to get a degree first. "After that, bahala na sila kung gusto nila talagang mag-artista."

A La Salle alumnus, he's helping for ten years now La Salle Greenhills Adult Night School for students 18 years and above, held at 5 to 9 PM. "I believe no one should be denied education just because he's already old. Everyone is entitled to get higher education and improve their lives."

Aside from this, he's also supporting Bahay Pag-asa of La Salle in Dasmarinas, Cavite for youth offenders . "Young people who got into conflict with the law deserve a second chance. With proper guidance, they can mend their ways and still become an asset to society."

Edu really wants our country to be a better place for the youth, which is why he's waging a personal war against child pornography. "The children are the future of our country.so we should fight pedophiles and pornographers who are destroying them to earn a fast buck. If elected as vice president, I'll institute more programs to empower the youth and insure them a brighter tomorrow."

Edu says that win or lose, he's turning he's back in showbiz after the election. "55 na ko. I want to try other fields. Ayoko ng sumayaw ng 'Papaya' sa TV at baka di na kaya ng tuhod ko. If ever babalik ako, gusto ko, sa public affairs sana."
