Eugene Domingo joins First Time

EUGENE DOMINGO is now part of the cast of the hit youth drama, "First Time", on GMA-7 at 6 PM. She plays the guidance counselor. On her first taping day, everyone screamed when she slipped on the floor while carrying a garbage can. "Nag-worry sila dun sa garbage can, baka matapon ang laman," she says. "Madulas kasi yung floor. Buti naman at di ako nabalian o na-emergency. So tuloy pa rin ang taping at enjoy ako sa mga batang kasama ko. Very professional sina Barbie Forteza, Joshua Dionisio and Jake Vargas. Nakakatuwa."

She's also happy that her "Hot Momma" with Wendell Ramos on SRO Cinemaserye on Thursdays is rating very well. But her "Cool Center" will end this Saturday night as Anjo Yllana is running in the next election. It'll be replaced by "Laugh Kita" on April 10, with Allan K as Eugene's co-host. On the big screen, she has finished "Working Girls" where she has love scenes with Antonio Aquitania as her husband and Ricky Davao as her lover, and she's now shooting "Here Comes the Bride" where she las a love scene with new PBB recruit Tom Rodriguez (formerly Bartolome Mott) produced by Atty. Joji Alonso of Quantum Films. "Wala na nga akong ginawa kundi makipag-love scene, pati kay Wendell sa 'Hot Momma'," she sighs. "I feel so exploited na nga."

Is it true she has become a swellhead after the success of "Kimmy Dora" for which she's now nominated as best actress in various award-giving bodies? "Naku, kung sa palagay nyo, lumaki na nga ulo ko, sabihin nyo lang sa akin at makikinig ako sa inyo. Ako pa rin ang dating si Uge."
