Eugene Domingo plays a therapist in Hot Mama

EUGENE DOMINGO is the title-roler in SRO Cinemaserye's new offering this Thursday night, "Hot Mama", the story of a sex therapist who cannot solve her own sexual problems. As Dra. Lola Cardenas, she sounds very sexy and seductive on her radio show, but in real life, she's an old maid who leads a simple life. She's infatuated with her executive producer (Victor Aliwalas) but he's more in love with her manager (Maureen Larrazabal.) Dejected, she finds solace in her avid fan from Cebu, the hunky Randy (Wendell Ramos), who wants to see her in person. When they finally meet each other, Randy offers to marry her and they end up in the altar. But the problem is that their marriage cannot be consummated. It turns out Randy has something in his past that prevents him from making love to a woman.

We tell Direk Joel Lamangan that the concept is actually good for a movie as follow up to Eugene's hit solo flick, "Kimmy Dora", for which she's now nominated in the Golden Screen and Urian Awards. "Oo nga, e. But Eugene is really so funny as 'Hot Mama' even on TV."

We saw its trailer and it's really hilarious, particularly the bedscene where Eugene gets to massage Wendell's body down to his butt. They also have numerous kissing scenes. "Mga ginawa ko rito, kaganapan talaga ng mga gusto kong mangyari sa buhay at career ko," says Eugene. "Magiging gay icon na ko rito kasi lahat ng di magawa ng mga bading kay Wendell, nagawa ko. Sorry na lang sa kanila. Nainis nga ako kay Wendell, kasi kahit wala na sa script, kiss pa rin siya ng kiss sa akin. Nagsamantala siya."

She's really so busy these days. She's also in "Cool Center" and will start yet another GMA project. She's also shooting two new movies. "I play Gina Pareno's daughter in law in 'Working Girls', wife ng anak niyang si Antonio Aquitania. In 'Here Comes the Bride', I play a hotshot lawyer na nagkaroon ng body switch. Napunta sa'kin ang soul ni Angelica Panganiban at ako naman, napunta sa isang yaya, si Tuesday Vargas. I'll also soon start a new movie with John Lapus na si Direk Joel din ang magdidirek."
