First Time consistently gets high ratings

THE CAST and staff of GMA's "First Time" celebrated because of the consistent high ratings of the youth-oriented drama since it started airing on Feb. 8. Leading lady Barbie Forteza, who plays Cyndi, is jubilant that her first lead role on primetime is doing so well. "Nakakatuwa po at sana patuloy pang tumaas ang rating namin," she says. "At first, we were all nervous as to how the viewers will receive us. But now, with the positive feedback we're getting, mas ganada kami nina Joshua Dionisio, Jake Vargas and all the other cast members na mas pagbutihin pang lalo ang trabaho namin."

Many teeners can identify with Barbie in her role as a simple girl bullied not only by mean girls in their school headed by Natalie (Bea Binene) but also by her own hostile mom (Ana Capri). "Marami pa pong eksenang nakakaiyak pero also nakakatuwa at nakakakilig. It'll be revealed later why my own mom, galit sa akin."
