THE MOST touching portion in "Showbiz Central" last Sunday was the interview with the grieving family of the late James Lim, youngest son of Toni Rose Gayda and estranged husband Moonie Lim. The 27-year old James passed due to internal bleeding resulting from his fall from the veranda of his fourth floor unit at Pinnacle, a condominium tower in Mandaluyong, last Friday morning.
Toni said she was able to join James in the ambulance and he kept saying "Ma, I'm in pain, please give me water." She said she felt powerless about what's happening. Later on, James said "I can't breathe" and Toni just lifted him up to the Lord. "Sabi ko, Lord, ikaw na ang bahala sa kanya."
His dad stressed that he did not commit suicide as others speculated. "It's plain accident," Mr. Lim added. "You can see this from the marks on the ledges. Nadulas siya. He had no head wound and he protected himself that's why his hands are mangled."
James was cremated and a wake was held for him until Saturday night. They took the urn containing his ashes home and it stays with grandma Rosa Rosal's room. The respected actress and humanitarian said she's confident that James is now with Jesus. His older brother, John, said he'll miss his brother very much. It was Rosa and Toni who decided to donate James' eyes for transplant to those in need.
