JAYA'S DREAM OF doing a soap is granted in "Diva" where she plays Barbra, the manager-best friend of Regine Velasquez, now seen on GMA's Telebabad after "The Last Prince". "Finally, nasali rin ako sa ganito and I'm glad kasi masaya ang show namin," she says. "Big factor na kasama ko si Regine, who's the one who recommended me for the role, dahil marami siyang nabibigay na tips sa akin about acting kaya it becomes easier for me. Mabait ako rito kasi aawayin ko lahat ng nang-aapi sa friend ko. Kaya lang, hindi ako marunong kumanta rito. Pero sana mapansin ng tao na hindi lang ako singer kundi puede rin ako sa acting."
She felt sad when "SOP" was axed. "I joined the show in 2000 so naka-ten years din ako roon. But at least, tumagal yung show and we should be thankful for that na rin."
How is it being a mom? "Mahirap pero masarap. Basta no matter how busy I am, I don't neglect my duties as a mom to my two kids, Sabriya and Dylan."
