Manilyn Reynes happy with two shows

MANILYN REYNES is thankful that after her daily soap, "First Time", on GMA-7, where she plays the wife of Romnick Sarmenta, she'll now also be seen on Sunday nights in the reality sitcom "Pepito Manaloto" that starts airing on Sunday after "24 Oras". "I play the wife of Michael V who's the title-roler as Pepito Manaloto," she says. "I really admire Bitoy for his talent for comedy. Ang galing-galing niya at lagi siyang may magagandang inputs. We play a poor couple na may isang anak, si Joshua Pineda. Galit ako sa kanya kasi kahit laging kapos na kapos na kami sa pera, tumataya pa rin siya sa lotto. E, yun nga, nanalo siya ng P700 million and that changes our life totally."

Mane remains happily married to Aljon Jimenez who now has his own business. They have two sons, Kyle,13 and Kurt, 7 years old. They want to have a baby girl but Mane had a miscarriage during her last pregnancy. She says "Pepito Manaloto" is perfect for her as her husband Aljon's real family name is Manaloto. "So talagang Mrs. Manaloto ako in real life. Natuwa nga si Michael V nang malamang yun talaga ang family name namin."

"Pepito Manaloto" is directed by Bert De Leon, with Carmina Villaroel, Ronnie Henares and John Feir in the supporting cast. We saw the pilot episode and they really spent for its production, shooting it on location and not like most sitcoms that are shot inside a studio set. They even use expensive CGI animation for the climax sequence when Bitoy realizes he won in the lotto and he suddenly shoots up to the sky and bounces with the clouds then goes back to earth and flowers bloomed all around him.
