GMA Artist Center hosted a solo presscon just for him as he joins the cast of "Panday Kids". "I play the role of Alfred, savior ni Rich Asuncion in a prostitution house. But I get shot and taken to a hospital where JC De Vera, who plays Aureus, is also dying. What happens is that nag-switch ako with JC and I'm resurrected as Aureus."
This confirms earlier rumors that JC is not renewing his contract with GMA-7 and will move to TV 5. Does he mind inheriting a role that JC started? "No, okay lang sa'kin. I'm glad to be back in a primetime show. Also, first time ko to do action scenes na madudugo so I welcome the challenge and I'm really preparing for it. Almost everyday, I go to the gym to make sure I'm physically fit."
Paulo, who's turning 22 on May 13, goes to the same gym where Aljur and Prince Stefan also work out, Pinnacle, and they now all sport hunky bodies. What's Aljur's reaction to the good breaks he's getting? "He's happy for me. I supported him and Kris Bernal before in 'Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin', the highest rating afternoon drama, and also in 'All My Life', kaya we're good friends."
So he can focus on "Panday Kids", his role as Cito in "Ina, Kasusuklaman Ba Kita?" is temporarily absent. "Nagpunta muna ako sa States at babalik na lang daw sa show later."
