Pepito Manaloto replaces Bitoy's showtime

MICHAEL V's first sitcom will replace "Bitoy's Showtime" starting March 20. He himself conceptualized it, directed by Bert de Leon. He plays a simple guy married to Manilyn Reynes who wins P700 million in the lotto. It shows how the windfall would change their lives. We got to talk to the new child actor who plays the only son of Bitoy and Mane in the show, Joshua Pineda. He's from Silay City, just like Jude Matthew Servilla, the "Birit Baby" winner in "Eat Bulaga". Do they know each other? "Opo," he says. "Naging magkalaban kami sa singing contest. First prize siya, second ako."

Born on July 29, 1999, his group, Voices of Negros, sang at Assumption College in June last year. Kuya Germs saw him and got him to be a regular singer in "Master Showman". The youngest of two kids. His mom, a teacher, accompanies him here in Manila while his dad, a mechanical engineer, and 14-year old sister remain in Silay. For someone who's only 10 years, would you believe his specialty is singing Frank Sinatra songs? We asked him to give a sample and sang "I've Got You Under My Skin". We're quite impressed.
