She admits she's not on cordial terms yet with Ira, but she remains friends with his family, including JD Young Cruz, the handsome 30-year old operations manager of Dr. Belo who was at the presscon for Phoem. "I told him to come here kasi may mga nagsulat noong siya ang pinalit ko kay Hayden (Kho), which isn't true," says Dr. Belo. JD says he has his own non-showbiz girlfriend. Asked about Phoem's breakup with his brother, he says he doesn't meddle with the love affairs of his Kuya Ira but he's glad Phoem is still his friend. Is Phoem hurt that Ira returned to Mylene? "Wala akong pakialam dun kasi hindi na naman kami. December pa kami split, but when I found, okay lang. Basta I'm happier now, and sexier," she laughs.
She's a host in "The Buzz", what can she say about the Ruffa-Kris incident? "I wasn't there when it happened but I like them both kasi pareho silang mabait. I can't take sides but I know it pains Ruffa to leave us, so siguro she's a little over sensitive that day kaya siya nag-react nang ganun dahil masama na nga loob, tini-tease mo pa ng ganun. Siguro she's just such a lady to just leave than cry or make drama on cam if she can't handle it anymore."
Phoem is the first celebrity model who admits having breast augmentation. "Tinanong na ako noon ni Dr. Belo kung if I'd want to come out and endorse it but I wasn't ready then. Ngayon, okay na ko. The procedure gave me more confidence. Sa showbiz kasi, you need to be more voluptuous, di ba? Now, I don't have to wear push up bra anymore. From 32 A, naging 34 C ako. Mas lumaki talaga kaya mas bumagay sa proportion ng body ko."
Dr. Belo stresses they use a totally different silicone implant for their procedures. "We use high quality implants from the U.S. or France, not from China. It's inside a pouch na kahit sagasaan ng trak, it won't spill. This is imbedded inside the muscle tissue so it becomes part of the body. The first one to use this 60 years ago, nandun pa rin ang implant sa kanya up to now. This is unlike the poor quality silicone injected in beauty parlos directly to the tissue na later, nagbubukol-bukol. This is very safe and you can even breast feed later even if you have this."
Dr. Belo admits she'll be present at the hearings of Hayden that starts next month. "But not as a witness. I just want to be there to see how Atty. Lorna Kapunan is in action. Kasi sa arraignment, hindi niya sinasagot ang maraming issues. She said the proper venue is the trial court, so yun ang gusto kong makita."
She says there's no "balikan" yet between her and Hayden. "Focus muna ko sa sarili at ganun din siya. And I want to stress also na hindi na ako addicted sa kanya. But I was touched when he wrote me a letter where he confessed eveything he's done to me, his lies, how he manipulated. It's a good beginning, everything is now clear to me."
