Rocco Nacino gets a role in Gumapang ka sa Lusak

ROCCO NACINO is just the 5th placer in "Starstruck V" but he's lucky to be the first one to be given an acting assignment. He auditioned for a role in "Gumapang Ka sa Lusak", along with winner Steven Silva and first runnerup Enzo Pineda, but he was the one who bagged the part. If he'd play his cards right, he might just end up a bigger star than any of them.

"It's the best birthday gift for me," says Rocco who turned 23 last Friday, March 21. "After I was informed that ako ang nakuha, I already taped agad for 'Gumapang' last Thursday. I was thrilled to do scenes with Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado and to be directed by Direk Maryo de los Reyes, who directed us before in 'Starstruck V'. Ang ganda ng role ko kasi parang lumalabas na ka-love triangle ako nina Dennis at Jen. I'm so happy to be part of the show, ang bait ng buong cast sa akin and I'm really doing my best para hindi ako mapahiya sa kanila at sa GMA sa pagtitiwala nila sa akin."

Direk Maryo said Rocco was selected because he's a natural actor. On Sunday, Rocco will be reunited with Starstruck colleagues Enzo, Steven, Sarah Lahbati and Diva Montelaba in "Party Pilipinas" where they'll do song and dance numbers.
