And why did Nokia get Ruffa for this? "We just got Rihanna for our international campaign, so for our local one we got Ruffa to join the Nokia family, which is a very select group. Ruffa is fun, digitally savvy, a superstar, and she's big on Facebook and Twitter so she's perfect to endorse Ovi Maps," says Nokia Marketing Manager Mitch So who was Ruffa's classmate at OB Montessori.
"O, di ba, ang ka-level ko na, si Rihanna," says Ruffa. "E, sa bahay naman, everyone really uses Nokia. So now, I'll have a Nokia fun page in my FB and Twitter accounts and we'll give away cellphones each Friday to lucky fans."
Did her FB and Twitter friends increased after the incident with Kris? "Oh yes. I have 100,000 plus friends na. After that, there were 20,000 new followers na hindi ko talaga ma-accept sa dami, so I'd like to thank my P.A., Ma-an, who was the one who accepted them isa-isa."
So can she say that "iba ang level ng happiness niya sa Nokia"? "Oh yes, talagang iba ang level ng happiness dito. Ang saya-saya! We're also happy because the reckless imprudence resulting in homicide case filed against my brother Richard by the wife of his late assistant, Nomar Pardo, was dismissed by the Department of Justice after reviewing the evidence. That's another big blessing."
We saw a copy of the decision and it says the justice department found no basis in the allegation that Richard was driving at "mind-boggling speed" when the accident happened. If this were true, then the two passengers seated in front (Richard and his other assistant) would've been incapacitated by the accident. They were saved by the fact that they were wearing seatbelts when the mishap occured, whereas the unfortunate Nomar failed to secure himself with a seatbelt at the back of the car.
