ABS-CBN has a good development program for new stars

ABS-CBN is on the right path in their efforts to keep building up new stars in their star-making machinery. They launch new stars one after another, Erich Gonzales in "Katorse", Maja Salvador in "Nagsimula sa Puso", Bangs Garcia in "Magkano ang Iyong Dangal", Andi Eigenmann in "Auga Bendita", and now, Empress Schuck in "Rosalka". The life blood of showbusiness is really in the continuing discovery of new screen idols that the public will adulate. The reasons why the film companies from Sampaguita Pictures to Regal Films slowed down was they stopped introducing new stars. Dr. Perez introduced so many movie queens and matinee idols in the 50s and 60s but his successors failed to continue this. Ditto for Mother Lily who was introducing Regal Babies and sexpots every so often until the local film industry slowed down starting in the late 90s. In the case of ABS, it's right to give breaks to as many stars as they can and it's up to the viewing public to support them or not for their careers to prosper or for them to go back to oblivion.
