Claudine Barretto pleased with GMA

CLAUDINE Barretto showed how professional she is now when she showed up for The Story of My Life portion of "Showbiz Central" last Sunday with her face swollen. She told host Raymond Gutierrez she has an allergy that made her face look bloated and she's taking anti-histamine, but someone says it could be she underwent a procedure like thermage or facial lipo, that's why her face acted up. Whatever the real reason is, Claudine could have excused herself from showing up but the fact that she did shows she really wants to cooperate in promoting her drama show that starts on GMA-7 this Saturday. Claudine is pleased with the video tribute the show prepared for her and she's thankful that GMA is giving her much importance after she transferred to the Kapuso network. Her first guest in her self-titled show is husband Raymart Santiago, who plays a young alzheimer patient. Their director, Laurice Guillen, says it's Raymart who shines in the episode, showing that he can be an excellent drama actor. Isn't Claudine somehow threatened that Raymart might upstage in her own show?

"No," she says. "I've always known that my husband has great potential in drama and I'm very proud of him. Actually, nagulat nga ako at humanga sa kanya sa mga eksena namin together. He's really so effective doing drama. Marami siyang gugulatin din na ang akala, comedy at action lang ang kaya niya."
