CLAUDINE BARRETTO'S new show, simply titled "Claudine", will start its telecast this coming Saturday on GMA-7, replacing "Bitoy's Showtime". Michael V's new show, "Pepito Manaloto", got a high rating of 28% plus in its first telecast and this augurs well for the hilarious reality sitcom. GMA is now hoping Claudine's drama anthology will similarly hit the jackpot in the ratings game since it offers something different from the game shows offered by other stations in that time slot. As for Claudine, she's perfectly satisfied with GMA's treatment of her.
"I can't complain," she says. "Considering wala akong ginagawa sa kabila, now I have a new show and a new movie. I'm just too happy to be busy working again dahil ang tagal kong nabakante."
The pilot telecast, "Alzheimer", is a touching drama about a young couple where the husband, played by Claudine's real life hubby, Raymart Santiago, is diagnosed to be suffering from an early onset of the disease that slowly erases all of one's memories. This is directed by Laurice Guillen. Claudine has advanced taping several episodes for her show as she's leaving soon with Richard Gutierrez for their movie, "In Your Eyes", that will be shot on location in California.
