Jan Manual, Manny Pacquiao's alter ego in "Startalk", says he never thought he'd be a funnyman. "Kasi shy ako at serious in real life," he says. "But now, enjoy na ko magpatawa ng tao. Inspiration ko sina Michael V at Ogie Alcasid."
At the recent Earth Day concert, how did he feel when he and Arci Munoz were interviewing Kean Cipriano and Kean won't even look at Arci. "I felt uncomfortable. Dapat kasi, ako na lang ang mag-i-interview sa kanya, kasi ayaw talaga ni Arci. Kaso napilit siya ng staff na lumabas kaya nag-interview na rin siya. Gusto ko ngang sabihan si Kean, hoy, kausapin mo naman si Arci."
Jan admits he now has a girlfriend who is with ABS-CBN. "Her name is Marlan and she'll be introduced as one of the new stars in 'Gimik'."
He says among his co-stars in "I Laugh Sabado", his crush is Janna Dominguez, but Janna quickly quips, "Naku, ha, may girlfriend ka, no?"
Janna turned 20 last month and was discovered by ABS in 'Pinoy Fear Factor'. "I did good roles in 'Eva Fonda' and 'Precious Hearts', but nakatengga ko ng matagal na so nagpaalam ako at kinuha naman ako ng GMA. Aside from 'I Laugh Sabado' on Q 11, I'm also in GMA-7's 'Pepito Manaloto' and the new Marian-Dingdong drama, 'Endless Love'."
"I Laugh Sabado" starts airing this Saturday at 8:30 with Rhian Ramos as special guest, along with the hit boyband Bloomfields and the winning dance group, Amplified.
