LUCY TORRES is sad that her long-running dance show, "Shall We Dance", is saying goodbye but she's glad to be part of the new Sunday noontime show, "Party On 5" or PO5, that will be TV5's answer to "Party Pilipinas" of GMA and ABS-CBN's "ASAP". This will premiere this Sunday, April 11, with the special birthday presentation of Ryan Agoncillo. PO5's other hosts are JC De Vera, Alex Gonzaga, John Estrada and Mr. Fu. Their other performers are Jan Nieto, Bituin Escalante, Chris Cayzer and many more, with Jay Durias as musical director and Rich Ilustre (of Talentadong Pinoy) as director. Let's see if GMA and ABS have a reason to be alarmed.
"PO5" will start along with TV5's new showbiz talk show, "Paparazzi", to be aired right after it at 2:30 PM, much ahead than rivals "Showbiz Central" and "The Buzz". This will be hosted by Ruffa Gutierrez, Cristy Fermin, Dolly Ann Carvajal and Jon Santos, directed by GM Sampedro who used to meg shows for ABS. Ruffa is raring to go back to work after she spent her Holy Week vacation in Australia. How does she feel that KC Concepcion is replacing her as new host in "The Buzz"? "I'm so happy for KC and also for 'The Buzz'," she says. "May the best show win na lang."
