Ricky Davao withdraws his candidacy for Working Girls

WHEN RICKY DAVAO agreed to play Eugene Domingo's driver-lover in "Working Girls", he didn't foresee that it'll be shown right before the May 10 election in which he is running as QC councilor. This gives GMA Films a problem with the Comelec. To prove that his work as an actor is really dear to him, Ricky decides to withdraw his candidacy so "Working Girls" will have no problems at all. GMA Films prexy Anette Gozon Abrogar thanked Ricky for his decision. "He said he can still serve naman even if he's not holding a public office," she says. "He can still run naman in the next election."
