Boy Abunda has a frentic schedule

DO YOU KNOW that Boy Abunda is so much in demand as a speaker not just about showbiz affairs but about varied topics ranging from family and education to politics, love, and gay rights? This should not come as a surprise as he's really an effective public speaker. As former justice secretary Agnes Devanadera says: “Iba talaga si Boy. I myself am mesmerized by him. He can make things appear light no matter how serious the subject matter is. Just have fun and you will enjoy.”

Boy already has a frenzied schedule with his four regular shows: SNN Live from Monday to Friday, Bottomline on Saturday, The Buzz on Sunday and Inside the Cinema on Cinema One. He's also busy finishing his M.A. on communication from the PWU and he's on his last term. But speaking is something he truly loves and just recently, he spoked before the 3rd Philippine Life Insurance Congress and talked about 10 Things About Me that Could Be About You. He came out as one of the best and most applauded speakers.

Boy is also a choice interviewer. Celebrities want him to interview them because of his high trust rating. His spontaneity, honesty, compassion all make top of his game. This is evident in "Bottomline" where guests easily warm up to him since he genuinely cares when he asks questions. CNN Hero Efren Penaflorida says: "It's a great experience to be interviewed by him. His questions are direct to the point but alam mong hindi ka babastusin o ipe-pressure, so honest and concise dapat ang answers mo."

"Bottomline" is a political show that features not only politicians but other public figures like spiritual leaders, philosopher and pundits. What does Boy do to prepare for each show? "I just make sure I prepare hard for each interview, that I know the guest well enough for me to know that surprises will happen. But it's important that you respect everyone and it's your duty to listen, then your dance can begin."
Directed by Pinggoy Generosa and with Apples de la Vega as executive producer, the show's Bottomliners are Mike Lopez, Dr. Dennis Ngo, Nini Borja, Paula Bianca Lapuz and Jamie Santos. Don't miss it tonight on ABS.
