Playing her mom is Mickey Ferriols, who is raped earlier by the abusive Dominic Ochoa. Mickey finds love in Kier Legaspi while Dominic marries Maricar de Mesa who becomes the mom of Isabelle. Also in the cast is Bernard Palanca as Felix' dad. Nikki Bacolod as a villain to Empress and veteran actress Mila del Sol as the grandmother of Felix.
How is "Rosalka" different from "Kampanerang Kuba" that starred Anne Curtis also as a humpback? "Ang kuba sa likod dito ni Empress, may misteryo," says one of the directors, Jeffrey Jeturian. "Rosalka means the unborn and the story takes a mysterious, suspenseful turn kasi may buhay pala sa loob ng kubang likod ni Rosa."
Empress is very thankful to ABS for giving her this break. "Ang tagal kong hinintay ito," she beams. "Sa wakas, dumating din and I promise to give it my best."
"Rosalka" starts airing after "Wowowee" on May 17. Incidentally, the host of the show's presscon was Jobert Sucaldito, which means ABS-CBN didn't heed Willie's ultimatum that they fire him or he'll resign from "Wowowee". "Masyado naman kasing nagpa-power tripping," comments an actress who told us Willie also earlier fired a utility man who made a simple mistake on the set of his show.
