Lara Quigaman admits relationship with Marco Alacaraz

UNLIKE OTHER stars whose familiar line is "we're just friends", former Miss International Lara Quigaman admits that she and Marco Alcaraz are into a relationship for some months now. And just because they had a vacation together in the U.S. and Canada, some writers quickly insinuated that they got married there. "Siguro, ganun talaga sa showbiz, pipilitin kayong umamin na on kayo, pag umamin kayo, next step, pakakasal na kayo," she says. "If ever I'd get married, siempre I want it to be here kasi nandito lahat ng mahal ko sa buhay at hindi ko itatago ito. Both Marco and I believe it's not the right time for us to wed. Bago pa lang kami. We're still trying to discover more of each other and it'd be foolish to rush into marriage."

How does she feel about rumors that Marco had a gay relationship with someone. "Most actors naman, natsitsismis na ganyan, so sanay na ako kaya wala na kong reaction. All I can say is lahat ng tsismis na narinig ko about him, hindi totoo."

Lara is glad that after "May Bukas Pa" where she plays a lady cop, she now plays a villain role in "Precious Hearts Presents Impostor".

"Reunited ako rito with Maja Salvador and Director Jerome Pobocan na mga nakasama ko rin noon in 'May Bukas Pa' kaya comfortable na ko to work with them. This is my first villain role and I hope viewers will see that I'm flexible as an actress and can do both sweet and bad girl roles effectively. Ang challening sa role ko rito, hindi siya yung nananakit kundi very scheming lang siya to hurt Maja."
