Ogie Alcasid supports Risa Hontiveros

OGIE ALCASID is the special guest of Akbayan cong. Risa Hontiveros at her presscon. "I'm here because I believe in Risa's accomplishments as a journalist and congresswoman," he says. "I posted my support for her sa Facebook at 10 million ang sumang-ayon sa akin kahit na 1,000 lang ang friends ko. Ang galing ni Risa sa debates where she participated, like 'Harapan', kunsaan knocked out ang mga kalaban niya. You can see her truthfulness, kasi yung iba, alam mo kung nambobola lang o nagpapa-impress, pero siya, she deals with the issues truthfully and sincerely. I met her only a few days ago but it's by divine intervention kasi matagal ko nang sinsubaybayan ang career niya. She really deserves to be a senator."

Ogie is glad that "Party Pilipinas", for which he's creative consultant, won in the ratings game for the first time last Sunday. "We were really gung ho that day and came up with a good show in Davao, also maganda ang pre-program naming boxing match ni Mayweather. Sana, ma-maintain namin."

Another supporter of Risa is Dingdong Dantes. "She's clean and not corrupt. I believe she'll pursue her anti-corruption drive in the senate. I also admire her for being a champion of the Filipino youth with her Sangguniang Kabataan reform bill and magna carta for students rights."

How did her colleagues react after movie writers' wrote about her? "They're so happy for me," says Risa. "Naaliw sila and told me, you have arrived! Nakatulong talaga dahil from no. 39, naging no. 13 ako sa surveys. I'd like to thank Ogie and Dingdong for their support. I wish them a long and lasting love and a happy life together with Regine Velasquez and Marian Rivera. At sana kumita nang husto ang 'You to Me Are Everything' that I'll watch with my four kids."
