Regine will really be gone from the show for a while since Dra. Victoria Belo will do surgery on her character, the super ugly Sampaguita. When she appears again, she'll be the enchanting new singer named Melody who will awe everyone with her beauty and talent. Meantime, Ogie Alcasid revealed in "Showbiz Central" that he felt hurt when it was reported in Twitter that Director Louie Ignacio resigned from "Party Pilipinas" because Regine doesn't usually want to rehearse for her numbers.
"Unfair sabihing hindi siya nagre-rehearse and in fairness to Direk Louie, he didn't mention any name," he says. "I felt hurt kasi bakit ginaganun si Regine?" This is why he wrote in Twitter: "Regine would not reach her career status now if it weren't for her unparallelled professionalism. It's unfair to spread the rumor that she doesn't cooperate." He even asked the Twitter writer to retract what's been written about this issue. "Ang mali ko lang," says Ogie, "I forgot that the whole net would read twitter."
As to why Direk Louie resigned, he said he doesn't know the director's reasons at all.
