IS TOM RODRIGUEZ aware that he's not the first choice as Angelica Panganiban's groom in "Here Comes the Bride"? "Yes, I was told si Derek Ramsay ang gusto nila but he's just been paired with Angelica in their filmfest entry kaya napasok ako," says the newcomer from PBB. "Of course, I don't mind. This is a great project for someone new like me. Dati, tambay lang ako, di marunong umarte, ngayon kasama ko na sina Angelica, Eugene Domingo and other stars. It's a great experience for me and I learned so much from them kasi puro sila magagaling and helpful. I'd like to thank producer Atty. Joji Alonso for choosing me to play an important role in this movie. Kasama rin ako sa Fuzion, the Voizboys album that she's producing."
He was evicted early on in PBB for being "pasaway", but his co-stars in "Here Comes the Bride" all say he's not at all "pasaway" on the set. "Mabait nga siya," says Tuesday Vargas. "Parang maamong tupa na naghihintay lang na tawagin siya ng director para mag-take na."
A cast member of "Here Comes the Bride" who'll soon be a real life groom is Nico Antonio, eldest son of producer Atty. Josabeth Alonso who's also part of Voizboys. Nico is celebrating his birthday on May 24 and he's tying the knot with longtime non-showbiz girlfriend, Angela, in October. As for Atty. Joji, she's also turning 47 on June 14. We're sure their birthday wish is for "Bride" to made lots of moolah.
