TWO ATTRACTIVE couples joining "Take Me Out" this week are Lazaro Remond-Chloe Coolai Dulay, 24, and Bryan Anastacio-Maxine Mamba. Lazaro, 30, is a wrestler from Cuba who invested in a business here. "This is my first time to appear on TV," he says. "Someone just told me to join the audition and I'm glad they got me as I met Coolai." Why did he choose her as his date? "Because she's not scared of me. I demonstrated some wrestling in the show and the other girls, takot sa akin. I like Coolai because she's so sportsminded like me. She rides on my motorcycle and we drive around." Coolai just broke up with GMA newscaster Raffy Tima. "He wants to settle down na but I felt I'm not ready yet," she says. For their date, GMA took Lazaro and Coolai to Nino Resto in Katipunan where they're having wine tasting. Since then, they've been seeing each other everyday. "I dated other girls here but it's only with her that I got serious as we really get along fine," says Lazaro. Adds Coolai: "That's because I really enjoy his company."
Bryan and Maxine are both 22. He just finished tourism at FEU, magna cum laude while she's a film major at UP, cum laude. Their episode will be shown at 5:30 PM today. Why did Bryan pick Maxine? "My parents are both hearing impaired and when she saw them on video, Maxine talked to me in sign language kasi marunong pala siya, kaya nagustuhan ko siya," he says.
Does Maxine like him, too? "Yes, may sense siyang kausap. For our date, GMA took us to a gaming station in Katipunan and we enjoyed playing some computer games. May connection kami but parang may kulang sa chemistry namin. His character is so nice. I want someone more aggressive."
