ANGELICA PANGANIBAN is being true to her bitchy character in "Rubi" who won't just take things sitting down. She's now engaged in a word war with Gretchen Barretto who's one of the two leading ladies (the other is Bea Alonzo) of her real life beau, Derek Ramsay, in ABS-CBN's new soap about the fashion world, "Magkaribal". Angelica is spending a vacation this month with Derek in South Africa. She was irked by Gretchen's remark that, later, she only wants to see Derek's solo picture of his trip, just him with no one else. "Solo pictures lang, ha," Gretchen, who's open about her crush on Derek, said in SNN. "Gusto ko ikaw lang, walang iba." In her Twitter account, Angelica posted: "Nakakaawa ka. Mukhang di ka masaya. Taraaayyy! Single ka Teh?" She added later that she should not be dragged into the promo of "Magkaribal". "Kasi kung gusto niyang mag-promote, mag-promote siyang mag-isa. Wala solong picture kami ni Derek, puro double. Kasi may boyfriend ako, girlfriend ako ni Derek."
When interviewed, Gretchen said: "Nagtatrabaho lang ako, nage-enjoy lang ako. Joke lang namin yun ni Derek." What can she say about Angelica's comments? "Oh my God, how painful. I'm so depressed. Very ouchy talaga. Lovey Derek, defend me. Inaaway ako. Ako si Victoria (her role in 'Magkaribal'). Suot ko ang pag-ibig na hindi susuko at lalaban magpakailanman. You want war, I'll you war. I'll be there in my red stilletos."
Obviously, we have not seen the end of this.

JESSICA RODRIGUEZ was interviewed in the U.S. by "Showbiz Central" and she revealed that she has asked her sister to be the surrograte mom of her next baby. "Inaayos na ang papers ng sister ko so she can come here kasi my husband (David Bunevacz) and I want to have another biological child, kaya lang di na ako puede kasi the last time I gave birth, to my daughter Breanna six years ago, nag-50-50 ako noon due to complications and they had to remove my uterus," she explains. "But I still produce eggcells kasi may ovary pa ko, so the eggcells will just be planted sa sister ko and she'll carry our baby. David is praying sana we have a baby boy this time."
Jessica has two previous kids, now both grownups, from previous relationships that David legally adopted. "40 years old na ko so we have to do it as soon as possible. David and I just celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary and he wants us to have a renewal of vows. He gave me a new engagement ring at nag-propose uli. It's really amazing that we're still together after 10 years kasi ang daming nangyari. Nasaktan kami ng todo. Nag-iba kami ng lugar. So the renewal of our wedding vows will be really meaningful after we survived ten whole years."

YASMIEN KURDI was in Guam for a GMA Pinoy TV promo when the news that Baron Geisler is ordered to be arrested because of the cases she filed against him came out early this week. Yasmien's lawyer, Atty. Ferdie Topacio, said the Bocaue Municipal Trial Court issued the arrest warrant because Baron failed to show up several times in the hearings. They filed three counts of Acts of Lasciviousness and one count of Unjest Vexation against Baron for sexually harrassing her while they were taping "Suspetsa" in SRO Cinemaserye last year. Yasmien said she's willing to let her lawyer handle any settlement that Baron's camp might want to enter into. But Baron's lawyer, Atty. Boni Alentajan, says that Baron has not received any notice from the court since it's addressed to ABS and not to his residence. Someone comments that Yasmien has already lost much weight and is all set for a comeback so this revival of the controversy between her and Baron is very opportune to revive the public's interest in her.
