KRIS BERNAL says that a reporter who saw her picture with Comedy Bar vocalist Jay Perillo on her cellphone made the wrong conclusion that Jay is her boyfriend. "Ang screen saver ko is a series of fotos with me and my friends," she says. "The fotos change and the reporter saw yun lang kami ni Jay. I admit Jay is a close friend. Masama bang magkaroon ng kaibigang lalaki? Enjoy kami magkulitan, but he's not my type. I prefer tall guys. Sabi niya, mtangkad siya, but I told him, maliit ka kaya. Tinanggal ko na picture niya sa cellfone ko para matigil na yan."
So she likes the tall Daniel Matsunaga, her leading man in "Wish Come True" of Lovebug that starts this Sunday after "Party Pilipinas"? "Oo naman. Naka-relate nga ako sa role ko as his admirer sa story kasi international model siyang sinundan ko sa Singapore para akitin. But in real life, I wouldn't do something like that kahit crush ko ang isang tao."
Has she seen Daniel's nude fotos on the net? "Yes, nakakaloka! But he said matagal na yun, sobrang bata pa niya at napilitan lang siya."
How does she feel that she won't see Aljur Abrenica anymore now that "The Last Prince" is about to end? "Siempre, sad. At our last taping day nga noong Monday, he said, I'll miss you. And I felt na hindi niya ko pinaplastic but it came from his heart."
Was she really never on with Aljur? "You ask Rich Asuncion," she laughs. "Si Aljur, kung kani-kanino nali-link. Someone asked my reaction nga and I said, sa kanila na siya kasi pagod na ko sa kanya."
Is she now okay with Rich? "We've always been okay. Dito sa 'Wish Come True', siya ang girlfriend ni Daniel but I discovered she's two-timing him with another model kaya sinumbong ko siya kay Daniel. I really enjoyed working with Daniel kasi inaalagaan niya ko parang baby. Pag gutom ako, he asks me what I want to eat. When I'm tired, he gets water for me. Dinadala pa niya ang gamit ko sa Singapore. Gentleman talaga."
Unlike Aljur who doesn't help her carry her things? "Hoy, huwag ganyan. Baka sabihin, porke hiwalay na kami, sinisiraan ko na si Aljur. May pinagsamahan din kami noon."

HOW COME NIkki Gil is yet to be launched solo by ABS when she has already proven her acting prowess in such soaps as "Pieta", "Nagsimula sa Puso" and "Tonyong Bayawak"? "I don't know," she says. "Maybe they feel it's not my time yet. Kanya-kanyang season naman yan. Or maybe they think it's not the direction my path should take as I'm singer. But right now, I can't accept soaps din as I've been busy in the Atlantis Productions' Broadway musical, 'Legally Blonde', which is inspired by the hit comedy of Reese Witherspoon. I've been preparing for this for a year with workouts, yoga, voice and dance lessons as the role demands sabay kang sumasayaw at kumakanta. I've done 'Seussical the Musical' before sa Shangrila but this one at Meralco Theatre is really much more demanding."
As Elle Woods, she's a girl dumped by her boyfriend so she sets out to prove not all blondes are dumb by enrolling at Harvard Law school. "There are many big numbers and the most challening are 'What You Want', my song when I get to Harvard, and 'So Much Better'. We have minimal dialogue, lahat kinakanta. I really want to thank our director, Chari Arespacochaga, for guiding me well. She really won't leave a scene hangga't hindi malinis na malinis lahat."
Off cam, her romance with Billy Crawford is going strong. How did she feel when some folks criticized Billy's new hairdo with bangs saying it looks like a floor mop? "I might have my own biases about him as I'm his girlfriend, but why focus on his hair when he's doing so much good work in hosting, singing and acting? I guess you really just can't please everyone."

She threatened to walk out if John would insist on probing the topic, even if John was instructed by their executive producer to still ask her about it. Both Heart and Bianca do not want to talk about it anymore. They just continue to ignore each other even if they're both members of the Glam Girls group who perform together in "Party Pilipinas". "Nagpaplastikan na lang sila roon," someone observes.

Speaking for Team Pinoy were PBB original Teen Edition housemate Mikee Lee, debaters from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, and DJ Charlie of Tambayan 101.9.
For the Teen-ternationals were Rona Libby of PBB Teen Edition Plus, debaters from UP Diliman and DJ Mojo Jojo of Magic 89.9. Team Pinoy asserted that a Filipino should win Teen Big Winner since the show after all is called “Pinoy Big Brother.” Team Teen-ternational answered them by saying being Filipino is not measured by blood alone. Last Tuesday, teen-ternational housemate Jenny was ousted via forced eviction after the housemates failed a test given by Big Brother. For the past few days, the housemates had committed a series of violations. They called someone from the outside world using a cell phone, failed to guard the P200,000 Big Brother entrusted to them, and even used some stuffs inside the house to pay ransom for Fretzie, who was held captive with Jenny by a mystery woman. Who among Ann, Bret, Devon, Fretzie, Ryan, James, at Ryan is your Teen Big Winner? PIOLO PASCUAL came to the presscon of "Noah" in a tightfitting shirt that reveals his lean torso. Why did it take so long before he got another project after "Lovers in Paris"? In the process, younger actors like John Lloyd Cruz, Sam Milby and Derek Ramsay got more exposure than in films and TV? "In my contract with ABS, talagang one soap a year lang ako," he says. "I don't just wanna grab anything that comes my way para lang masabing may exposure ako. Mas gusto kong ma-excite ako sa quality ng ginagawa ko and not just because I want to be visible. I'm happy for the success of sina John Lloyd. Napagdaanan ko na rin naman yun. 'Noah' is a project worth waiting for. The concept is different, very big production and challenging for me as this is the first time I play a cop. Wife ko si Jodi Sta.Maria and we have a son. Nawala yung son namin and I will be searching for him. Dito ko mapapadpad in an island called Noah. Doon ko makikita si Zaijian Jaranilla, who may or may not be my son. Yun ang dapat nyo abangan."
In the trailer, they use a lot of CGI for the animals and insects in the island that will remind of "Avatar". It's also inhabited by a tribe of "taong unggoy" so the actors who play them put on prosthetic apemen makeup like Baron Geisler, Noni Buencamino and Lou Veloso. Aside from Jodi, Piolo's other leading lady in the show is Kristine Hermosa and they're supported by Cherry Pie Picache and Joem Bascon, directed by Malu Sevilla who directed Piolo before in "Mangarap Ka" and is also the director of the hit "Agua Bendita".
