WE VISITED the set of "The Last Prince" in Tanay, Rizal and the set is a beautiful mansion in the middle of nowhere. The Frenchman who owns it built his own concrete road from the main highway going to the place, an idyllic resort on top of a mountain, complete with a huge swimming pool where the view is just breathtaking. Present were Aljur Abrenica, Kris Bernal and Carl Guevarra, plus the very pretty 8-year old child actress who plays the daughter of Aljur and Kris, Margaret Lipnitz.
Aljur and Kris are enjoying their last few days together as "The Last Prince" ends on June 25. "After this, paghihiwalayin na kami," he says. "She's now in 'Love Bug' with Daniel Matsunaga and I'll be with Rhian Ramos and Jackie Rice daw in a show na di pa alam ang title."
His show will replace "Diva" that ends in July yet so he's happy to have a short vacation before taping again. "I'll promote my album muna," he says. He's quite nervous about his new show with Rhian and Jackie. "Siempre may kaba kasi first time kong ipapareha sa iba. I pray na sana, suportahan din ng viewers gaya ng shows ko with Kris. I'm sure Rhian, Jackie and I will all work together to make our show real worth-watching."
Kris and his rumored ex, Rich Asuncion, are together in the cast of "Love Bug". It's said they snub each other. "Hindi ko ex si Rich at hindi rin totoong nagdededmahan sila ni Kris. Sabi ni Kris, nag-usap na sila sa taping sa Singapore. Dinaragdagan lang ang mga kuwento na parang gusto talaga silang pag-awayin. Personally, sa tingin ko, walang problema between them."
How come the rumors about him and Bianca King won't die down? "Hindi ko rin alam. It began when I showed up sa 'Working Girls' premiere night as she invited me. Sabi ko nga, Lord, ang suwerte ko naman, kung sinu-sinong babae ang nali-link sa'kin. Pero sa totoo lang, wala talaga akong lovelife lalo ngayong tutok ako para mapaganda ang last few weeks ng 'Last Prince'. Happy kami kasi consistent ang high rating namin for six months. Huwag silang bibitaw dahil talagang paganda ng paganda ang show. Napakasal na ko kay Bianca as Buwana at si Kris kay Carl Guevarra at tila wala ng pag-asa ang love story namin ni Kris as Almiro at Lara."

SEN. BONG Revilla and Cong. Lani Mercado hosted a thanksgiving lunch for the press. Sen. Bong called on Pres. elect Noynoy Aquino and all other newly elected officials to now set aside politics and their personal interests so they can all work together in unison for the good of the country. "Kundi kasi magkakaisa ang mga namumuno, ang mga ordinaryong mamamayan ang mas maaapektuhan at magiging kawawa kundi uusad ang bansa," he adds.
Now that the election is over, will he be doing the sequel of "Ang Panday" for the December filmfest? "Hindi siguro. Kasi the first one tooks us one year to make. Six months na lang hanggang December at hindi sapat yan to do a really good sequel. May plan for us ni Vic Sotto to work together and come up with a comedy for the whole family. But it's still under negotiation so di pa sure kung matutuloy."
Lani is optimistic her first term as Bacoor representative will be a productive one. "Una kong aasikasuhin is for Bacoor to be a city then I want to put up our own hospital sa tulong din ni Bong."

RYAN YLLANA says his family is still grieving over the demise of his brother Robbie due to complications from diabetes. "But life has to go on," he says. "One consolation for me is I won as councilor sa Paranaque and it's just my first try to run for public office. Kaya lang, natalo naman ang Kuya kong si Anjo sa pagka-vice mayor. E, ganun talaga ang buhay, may ups and downs and we just have to roll with the punches. Kamukha ngayon, may bago akong show, 'Pilyang Kerubin', at ang role ko, angel with wings named Elijah. CHILD STAR Eunice Lagusad gained fame as Charming in "Bakekang" when she was 7. GMA-7 gave her one show after another but when Angel Locsin moved to ABS-CBN, GMA-7 dropped her as they have the same manager and her career lied low. She's glad she's now back to GMA-7. "Nadamay lang po ako noon sa conflict nila with GMA pero wala na po kong manager ngayon," she says. Now 12, she's glad to play Carla Abellana's aeta sister in "Basahang Ginto". "Nilagyan po ako ng black make up at kinky wig para magmukha akong ita. Aapihin yung family namin sa bundok kaya bababa kami sa city, magdaranas ng sobrang hirap at maoospital ang nanay namin, si Rita Avila, kaya gagawin ni Ate Carla as Orang ang lahat para kumita. Magsasayaw kami sa daan para mamalimos. Babayaran ni Kuya Geoff Eigenmann as Danny ang ospital pero hindi niya pinaalam kay Ate Carla at ang mayordomo ang magkukunwang nagbayad noon. Pero hindi pa rin maliligtas ang ina namin at mauulila kami. Ang husay ni Direk Joel Lamangan sa pagkuha ng eksenang yun kaya maiiyak talaga ang viewers dito."

The show reverts to its usual format with the boys searching for their dates among 30 pretty girls. Tonight, Starstruck V's balikbayan hunk Ian Batherson and dashing Korean David Lee will be the searchers. Tomorrow, it'll be the turn of VJ-rocker Sib Sibulo and Pacman impersonator Jan Manual. On Wednesday, the searchers are Cosmo bachelor Adam Ibrahim and Marilao councilor and Are You the Next Big Star runnerup Alex Castro. But hey, we know Alex already has a girlfriend and it's Kristine Nieto of Eurasia. So what gives? Won't Kristine get jealous. Thursday's searchers are DJ Eri Neeman and hardcourt hottie Anthony Semerad. On Friday, aside from the usual searchers, there will also be a lucky Couple of the Week so find out who'll this be in the hot reality dating game show, "Take Me Out", aired weekdays at 5:30 PM with replay at midnight.
