MARK ANTHONY FERNANDEZ denies the story that he is backsliding to his old habits and has become unprofessional again. Proof of this is the fact that GMA-7 has just renewed his contract with them and GMA execs led by Pres. Felipe Gozon welcomed him anew warmly.
"Yung sinasabing di ko sinipot ang taping ng 'Diva', I did inform the staff about it," he says. "Hindi ko sila basta binitin. I had to attend to something very important that day pero nagpaalam ako ng maayos sa kanila. I'm really surprised that some people are even make a big thing out of my absence sa 2nd death anniversary ng dad ko sa Heritage Park. Alam ni Tita Lorna (Tolentino) na di ako makakarating noon kasi nga nagkataong may taping ako ng 'Diva' that day. She understood me naman. Si Papa ko mismo ang nagsabi sa'king huwag kong pababayaan ang trabaho kaya tinapos ko muna ang taping bago ako nagpunta roon. Hindi naman kailangang ipakita ko pa sa lahat na I'm grieving on my own. Mas gusto ko yung nagpupunta ako roon on my own para may quiet time kami at kinakausap ko siyang mag-isa."
As Gary in "Diva", Mark realizes that he's really in love with Regine Velasquez as Melody, the more beautiful version of the girl he originally cared for, Sampaguita.
He resolves to tell her his true feelings after the simultaneous concert of Melody with rival Tiffany (Glaiza de Castro). But he later learns that his friend, Martin (TJ Trinidad) is also in love with Melody so he quietly gives way. On the day of the concert, the venue is jampacked with people but Debbie tries to sabotage it by saying there's a bomb so the audience runs away. Despite this, Melody continues to perform for her crippled dad, Elvis (Boboy Garovillo), and sings "Run to You" to him. In contrast, Tiffany's own concert is filled to the rafters.

PIOLO PASCUAL, who's Papa P to his adoring fans, doesn't want to be pressured into having a girlfriend just because some quarters question his gender. "When it happens, then it happens. When it comes, it comes. And when it does, then yun na ang magiging priority ko," he says. "But as of now, my priority remains to be my work and not my lovelife."
He has two leading ladies in his new show, "Noah", Jodi Sta. Maria and Kristine Hermosa. "Jodi plays my wife at sobrang galing niya. Second time namin ito after 'Walang Kapalit'. Si Tin naman, first time ko nakatrabaho when I returned home from the U.S. 12 years ago and I played kontrabida to her and Marvin Agustin in 'Sa Sandaling Kailangan Mo Ako'. I was 20 then and she's about 15 or 16 lang. It was a hit kaya nagka-sequel pa. We got to work together again when I guested in 'Nasaan si Maruja' at lalo siyang gumanda noon. Tapos ang galing pa umarte, so Oyo Sotto is really lucky with her."
Since Tin is taken, obviously they won't get to be linked to each other, unlike when he did 'Lobo' with Angel Locsin and "Lovers in Paris" with KC Concepcion where there was some effort to link them. "Hindi naman akong nagli-link sa sarili ko to my leading ladies. As for Tin, I'm just thankful she accepted this project and we're good friends kaya I don't see any problem while we're doing this."

CARLA ABELLANA wasn't able to perform at the 60th Anniversary show of GMA-7 at the Big Dome as she felt bad during rehearsals and started throwing up and experiencing stomach pains. She was rushed to the hospital. Her ka-love team in "Basahang Ginto", Geoff Eigenmann, was understandably so worried about her. "The doctor said I got dehydrated due to infectious diarrhea," she says. "Kaya nanghihina ako pero pinilit ko ang sarili kong magtrabaho kasi nga nakakahiya, GMA anniversary pa namin. Pero hindi ko talaga nakaya so I was taken to the hospital. I rested over the weekend and I was okay na uli by Monday kaya nakapag-report na ko sa taping ng 'Basahang Ginto'."
What can she say about the tender loving care showered to her by Geoff? "I really appreciated his concern. Nandun siya sa ospital kahit na nga siya ang sumalo ng naiwan kong trabaho sa GMA anniversary show. Pero hindi lang naman siya ang nagbantay sa'kin, marami sila. Nagulat nga ako sa dami, di ko ine-expect. Pati buong staff ng 'Basahang Ginto', nandun sila lahat. This week, pinaganda ako ni Geoff para magpanggap na girlfriend niya at pagselosin ang syota niyang si Sylvia. Lalagyan ako ng makeup, bibibihisan at tuturuan ng social graces with a new name, Laura Leyva.
Magkakaroon ako ng transformation from ugly duckling na katulong kaya abangan nyo dahil mai-insecure sa'kin si Sylvia at sasampalin ako dahil Geoff will kiss me sa harap niya."

This Monday, dusky actress Bubbles Paraiso and Starstruck-Bb. Pilipinas runnerup Rich Asuncion will find their love match. On Tuesday, now that her perennial partner Aljur Abrenica is paired with someone else, it will be the turn of Kris Bernal to find her own date. On Wednesday, two reigning beauty queens, Bb. Pilipinas Universe Venus Raj and Bb. Pilipinas World Czarina Gatbonton will do the searching. On Thursday, wonder what her ka-love team Geoff Eigenmann will feel when Carla Abellana of "Basahang Ginto" does the searching for a new date. On Friday, the searcher is the controversial Rhian Ramos, who JC De Vera wants to be erased from his memory. Will she find a good replacement for JC? JOLINA MAGDANGAL's fans are wondering why she is now out of Party Pilipinas. She herself indicated this in her Twitter acount, saying the reason is quite serious. This happened when her two other shows just ended: "Panday Kids" where she played a supporting role and "Dear Friend" where she's one of the hosts. So what happens to her now that she doesn't have a single show? She can't transfer to TV 5 as she still has a contract with the Kapuso network. Her new manager, though, Perry Lansigan, says Jolens is still returning to PP. It's just that she's on vacation abroad right now. Her fans are hoping GMA-7 will still give her another show, hopefully on primetime.
