PINOYS ARE often described as happy people with ready smiles, but these smiles often show rotting teeth. The WHO (World Health Org.) says we flank in oral health care programs. In the province of Rizal alone, 99% of children are deprived of basic dental care. Together with the Philippine Dental Association (PDA), healthcare czar Cheryl Cosim is now on a mission to fight tooth problems in Barangay Aray in Antipolo via TV5’s “Alagang Kapatid”.Cheryl also helps the Goyal Family whose ten members weep for various tooth problems caused by poor oral hygiene and sharing a pair of toothbrush for all family members (yuck!)
Cheryl also reveals the fast-rising number of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) cases in the country and how a newly-discovered HIV antibody could finally cure the deadly virus. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure so watch Cheryl in “Alagang Kapatid” this Saturday at 4pm on TV5 for valuable health tips.
