Erich-Enchong Love Team Launched By Star Cinema

STAR CINEMA gambles on the Erich Gonzales-Enchong Dee love team in the romantic-drama “I Do”, directed by Veronica Velasco who megged acclaimed indie films like “Inang Yaya”, “Last Supper No. 3”, “Prinsesa” and “Maling Akala”. Star exec Malou Santos, who has launched other successful love teams on the big screen like Jericho-Kristine, Toni-Sam, John Lloyd-Bea A and John-Sarah G, Kim-Gerald, and Angelica-Derek, feels Erich and Enchong are ripe for stardom. “I’m a movie fan myself, so I know the heart and pulse of movie fans and what will click with them,” she says. “Erich and Enchong are a good match and they have the unexplainable X factor. Both are good actors, effective in drama and comedy, and driven to succeed. After seeing them in TV shows like ‘Katorse’, ‘Tanging Yaman’ and ‘Magkaribal’, it’s obvious they have great chemistry and are ready for the big screen. Viewers will surely embrace their love team.”

How does Erich feel about this? “I want to thank Star Cinema for this big break in films,” she says. “Enchong and I did our best to make sure we do well in our roles as young lovers about to get married who encounter a lot of problems. With the support of Star Cinema, we’re optimistic that the audience will love our first big movie together.”

“I Do” opens in theatres this Wednesday. Erich and Enchong are supported by Pokwang, Dennis Padilla, Janus del Prado, Nash Aguas, Richardo Cepeda, Isay Alvarez, Jun Urbano, Eliza Pineda, Alwyn Uytingco, Jane Oineza, Allyson Lualhati, Che Ramos, Joyce So and introducing PBB winner Melai Cantiveros.
