LOVI POE is the newest Bench Body endorser and her billboard at Guadalupe will be unveiled today showing her looking so innocently seductive in her undies. The blurb says “Love + Sexy= Lovi Poe”. She has minimal makeup and looks so young and fresh in it. How did she prepare for the pictorial? “No preparation,” she says. “They just informed na I’d be Bench Body model then pictorial na agad two weeks ago lang. I had seven changes of undies for the pictorial and they chose three different poses.”
So does this mean she’s now ready for FHM? “No. Maybe later. But as of now, I’m not comfortable doing it for a men’s magazine.”
Her tummy is so flat and her waist so tiny. What exercise does she do? “Nothing. I’m just lucky when I gain weight, hindi tumataba ang waist ko but my face and arms.”
We notice she has two tattoos on her side, one says “my wings”, the other, “my gravity”. “It’s for my dad (the late FPJ). It means he gives me wings to fly but he’s also my gravity to keep me down and help me maintain balance in my life.”
She’s glad her “Say I Do” episode on “Love Bug” with Mark Anthony Fernandez is currently getting very good feedback. “The story is really funny and thanks to the fine performances of Tita Carmi Martin and Tito Joey Marquez as Mark’s parents, it’s really very entertaining.”
She went to Hongkong last weekend for the latest hearing of her “friend” Ronald Singson. From the airport, she went straight to the taping of “Show Me Da Manny” on GMA-7. So how was the hearing? “I’d like to keep it private, so please, let me just keep quiet about kasi maraming taong maaapektuhan, hindi lang ako.”
As a Filipino, didn’t she have any bad experience in Hongkong after the hostage incident? “Nothing at all.”
So how’s Ronald taking his forced stay in Hongkong? “I told him to just enjoy his stay there for now.”

FRENCHESKA FARR was the wedding singer with Geoff Taylor in the nuptials of Heart Evangelista and Mark Herras that’s the climax of “Langit sa Piling Mo”. Was she disappointed that her film “Emir” didn’t hit it big at the tills? “Opo, pero lahat ng nakapanood, nagandahan, saying. Ire-release na raw nila sa DVD so sana mapanood ng mas maraming tao,” she says.
She has gotten the QC condo she won in “Are You the Next Big Star” and she’s neighbors with Geoff. “I’ll still live with my parents in Las Pinas. We’ll just use it para tulugan when I have appointments in Manila.”
Any new shows? “Wala po. Party Pilipinas lang.”
What about the album she’s supposed to do? “Wala rin po.”

ABS-CBN’s Jovit Baldivino, winner of Pilipinas Got Talent, is luckier. His album has been quickly released and he’s now in “Idol” with Sarah Geronimo. And we thought GMA has plans of developing Frencheska as another Sarah after she won the GMMF most promising singer-performer award of 2010. How come she has no other project right now?

WHILE WAITING for the outcome of his election protest, Mayor Lito Atienza now does regular cameo roles in his GMA-7 TV show, “Maynila”. He has played as a doctor who treats the blind Enzo Pineda, an uncle of Sheena Halili who’s parents are having financial problems, a counsellor who advises Kris Bernal to be more patient about her mom who’s an OFW. He feels so comfortable before the camera? “I was a Bayanihan dancer for 8 years so wala na akong stage fright,” he says.
What’s the status of his protest? “It’s now on its second stage preparatory to a manual count. I’m glad the PPCRV confirmed na talagang may dayaang nangyari sa mga presinto sa Manila that they audited. Ang worry ko lang, may bumasa sa ballot boxes na puno raw ngayon ng tubig lalo na yung from 4th and 5th district kunsaan I’m really strong. I already sued the city treasurer and the Manila Museum manager as the ballot boxes are under their care, why are they negligent at hinayaang mabasa? So I’m requesting the Comelec na bilisan na ang recount bago pa tuluyang masira ang ballots. I’m determined to pursue this to fight for the sanctity of the ballot kasi dalawang beses akong nakulong noong martial law fighting for democracy at gusto kong patunayang there’s justice and democracy now in our land.”
What’s his take on the recent hostage incident? “Di ako nakatulog the night it happened, out of frustration as I saw everything from the start at puro mali talaga ang nangyari. As a Filipino, I’m truly sorry and embarrassed about what happened to the hostages, and it happened on the hallowed ground of Luneta yet where our National Hero is. The law is very clear as to who’s to blame. It’s not the president but the mayor of the city where it happened. Kasi, 100% niyang responsibilidad yan and, in the line command, it goes back to him. I hope the investigation will show kung sino talaga ang may sala at kailangang maparusahan yan.”

MR. FU says it’s an honor to work with Joey de Leon in the comedy-prank show “Wow Meganon?”, seen Monday to Friday at 9 PM on TV5. “Icon siya on Philippine TV kaya dream come true for me ito,” he says. “No etchos yan. Na-interview ko siya noon sa Enpress Awards ng bigyan siya ng lifetime achievement. I asked him what he can say sa natanggap niyang award. Naglo-lollipop siya noon and he said, ‘Dapat nga, matagal ng binigay sa akin ito.’ Anong advice ang mabibigay nyo sa mga bagong hosts? ‘Galingan nila. Ikaw, taga-RPN 9 ka, diyan ako nagsimula, galingan mo rin, ha.’ O ngayon, magkasama na kami sa isang show.”
How’s his son Kuya Kim after the stroke? “He has fully recovered and is now 100% perfectly okay, but his doctor told him to take it easy for several months so rest muna siya from work.”

THE ABS-CBN News Channel just launched a new station ID and on-air look to mark the award-winning station’s unwavering commitment to deliver news to Filipinos wherever they are and amid fast changes in media. With information dissemination so much easier and faster today, ANC COO Glenda M. Gloria said it is integral to have a news organization focused on making sense out of all the clutter in the media.
“As a news channel, we'd like to be able to connect the dots for our viewers to make informed choices and decisions," she said. Gloria said the Rotary Club of Manila Journalism Awards TV News Station of the Year has been able to do this without sacrificing the standards and values that brought ANC to where it is now: integrity, perspective, and respect. Viewers can expect the blue rhombus logo to remain as the key design element in ANC’s new look, which conveys the channel’s glossy, substantive, and engaging nature, according to Gloria. ANC’s sleek and edgy new ID, meanwhile, depicts how the nature of newsgathering has changed due to technology and citizen empowerment. It shows how information captured by an ordinary individual and shared to ABS-CBN can become a news story reported by our reporters on the scene and anchors on the air. Stay tuned to the country’s award-winning and only 24/7 news channel, ANC SkyCable channel 27.
