KATHRYN BERNARDO almost moved to GMA-7 when she played the young Marian Rivera in “Endless Love”. But she chose to stay with ABS and she now gets to star in the remake of the hit 1990’s series, “Mara Clara” by Emil Cruz Jr. that launched Judy Ann Santos and Gladys Reyes to stardom. Kathryn is Mara and Julia Montes plays Clara. “I’m so happy sa dami ng artistang pwede nilang piliin for this role, they got me. ‘Mara Clara’ is the ‘Mother of all teleseryes’ at saka five years umere kaya I’m thankful akong pinagkatiwalaan ng ABS-CBN na gumanap as Mara,” Kathryn says.
Also in the cast are Bobby Andrews as Amante (formerly portrayed by Juan Rodrigo), Ping Medina as Kardo (Dan Fernandez then), John Manalo as Eris (Christopher Rojas), Albi Casino as Christian (Wowie de Guzman), Chokoleit as CG (Eagle Riggs) , Jhong Hilario as Gary (Eruel Tongco), Mylene Dizon as Susan (Susan Africa), and Ms. Gina Pareno.
