BROADCASTER ANTHONY Taberna is elated to anchor Studio 23’s innovative newcast “Iba-Balita” starting this Monday at 9 PM. “Iba ito as I not only report the news but I’m also allowed to analyze, editorialize and express my own opinion to make it more relevant to viewers,” he says.
Anthony gained followers with his feisty commentary on DZMM’s “Dos Por Dos” with Gerry Baja which will now also be seen on Studio 23 weekdays as “Punto Por Punto” at 7:30 AM. He also does investigative reports with Julius Babao in “XXX” on Studio 23, Thursday at 9:30 PM.
Born on January 16, 33 years ago, he finished masscomm at New Era College, being a member of the Iglesia ni Kristo, and has been with ABS since 1997. His wife, Roselle, is 8 years younger than him. They have two daughters: Zoey, 2, and Helga, 1. With him so busy now, he regrets that he hardly has time for his family. “I leave home at 4 AM na tulog pa sila and I get home at night na tulog na sila. I just make it up to them on weekends.”
Studio 23 is introducing several new local shows like “Usapang Lalake” with four new male hosts, “Eow Powhs” with Korean Ryan Bang and “Pa-Bida Ka!” with RR Enriquez and Aaron Atayde. More about them later.
