ENZO PINEDA won as the Celebrity Candy Cutie 2010 of Candy Magazine based on text and on line votes, beating four-time winner Sam Concepcion who’s now number 2. The award was given to him last Friday at the Candy Fair in Makati.
“I really didn’t expect this kasi baguhan lang ako samantalang yung mga kasama ko, mas matagal na sa showbiz,” says Enzo. “Sabi ko, the fact na nakasama ko sa top 10, okay na ko. Yun pala, I’ll be overall winner and I’m very happy about it kasi first time ko rin lang ma-nominate. I didn’t realize ganun na pala karami ang supporters ko. Thanks to them.”
Aside from Enzo and Sam, the other Candy Cuties are AJ Perez, PBB teens James Reid, Ivan Dorschner and Brett Jackson, Robi Domingo, Albie Casino, Enchong Dee, and Elmo Magalona. You’d notice most of them are from ABS and only Enzo and Elmo are from GMA-7. They’re all featured in the October issue of Candy.
How does Enzo feel now that his batchmates, Rocco Nacino and Steven Silva, are paired with Kris Bernal in “Koreana”. “Siempre, happy ako for them. Sincere yan. Wala namang inggitan sa amin. Hindi naman ako pinababayaan ng GMA as after doing ‘Diva’ and ‘Exchange of Hearts’, I’m now in ‘Kaya ng Powers’ and ‘Party Pilipinas’, so no complaints.”
How’s he and Sarah Lahbati? “We remain very close, even our parents. Birthday niya on October 9 and I have a special gift for her, but we don’t want to rush things as we’re both starting pa lang in showbiz. Dapat trabaho muna bago lovelife. We’re going to host a new dance show soon and I’m glad tuloy-tuloy ang dance and gymnastics lessons ko as this will be a big help to me.”
No doubt going sexy and showing some skin helped the careers of Aljur Abrenica and Rocco Nacino who both did sexy pictorials for Cosmo. How about him? “Kaya ko rin yun but I’m not in a hurry. Wholesome muna ko rito sa Candy Magazine. Saka na yung paghuhubad.”
