JANNO GIBBS DEPRESSED, WON'T GO OUT OF HIS ROOM

ONE OF THE biggest hits of Director Danny Zialcita is the gay comedy “Mahinhin vs. Mahinhin” with Ronaldo Valdez and the late Dindo Fernando as two badings fighting for the love of Edu Manzano, with Alma Moreno as Edu’s leading lady. Ogie Alcasid’s talent manager, Leo Dominguez, has the brilliant idea of reviving it for Ogie and now, we heard three film companies are fighting for the project: Regal, Studio 5 and GMA Films.

Supposed to be paired with Ogie is John Lapus but he’s told the original movie was a hit simply because both Dindo and Ronaldo are straight. If one of the gay characters is really gay, then it would be less interesting. The suggestion is for Ronaldo’s son himself, Janno Gibbs, to play the other role as he has good chemistry with Ogie. GMA Films says they won’t have any problem with this casting as both Ogie and Janno are with them. The trouble is Janno is said to be feeling indisposed at the moment. He seldom reports in Party Pilipinas and often just stays locked up in his room at home feeling depressed over something. Maybe he should get the help of a professional counsellor so he can settle things for himself and get over his depression.

Also suggested to play the roles of Edu and Alma are real life sweethearts Daniel Matsunaga and Heart Evangelista since “maraming kinikilig sa kanila”. That is, if Heart won’t have a bout with “topak.” Recently, Heart did not show up at Star Cinema’s “Tanging Ina Mo”.
