AS MUCH AS possible, Lotlot de Leon no longer wants to talk about her reported tiff with ex-mother in law Pilita Corrales who reported in “Paparazzi” that Lotlot willingly gave custody of their kids to her son Ramon Christopher when they separated. She admitted feeling really hurt by that as it’s not true and her kids were then asking her why she gave them up to their dad. Does she intend to confront Pilita about this?
“What for?” she says at presscon of “Koreana” where she plays the woman who adopted and raised Kris Bernal not knowing she’s the daughter of a Korean businessman. “There’s no need kasi, ang mahalaga, nagkausap na kami ni Monching at nagkakaintindihan kami. Up to now, we both act as parents to our children and make decisions for them kasi he calls me up or texts me kung may kailangang ang mga bata. We’ve maintained our respect to each other and we’re both doing our best for the welfare of our kids. Sa awa’t tulong ni Lord, maayos naman lahat. Kung nasaktan man ako dahil sa mga sinabi sa’kin, iniisip ko na lang ang mga bata para hindi na lang ako masaktan. Basta wala akong dapat i-explain o ipaliwanag. Ang mahalaga, okay kami ng mga anak ko at kami rin ni Monching. I don’t owe anything to anyone else. I’ve done part para makipagbati sa kanya (to Pilita) dahil when I saw her sa wake ng late Charlie Davao, I was even the one who approached her and asked her, ‘How are you, Mamita’. Is her eldest son Janine really joining showbiz soon? “Kung ako lang, I’d rather she live a normal life but siya mismo, gusto subukan ang showbiz. We told her to finish college muna kasi kami ni Monching, parehong di nakatapos. Patapos na siya sa UP in March so, kung payag din si Monching, baka puede na siya after that.”
