NEW TV SHOW ABOUT MEN: USAPANG LALAKE

A NEW SHOW for men and the women in their lives starts tomorrow at 9:30 on Studio 23, “Usapang Lalake”, hosted by Alex Calleja as the master, DJ Jobert Austria as the heartbreaker, Boom Labrusca as the player and Arran Sese as the apprentice, all recruited from auditions. An IT programmer at Accenture by day, Alex is a stand up comic at night in Aruba at Metrowalk and Spicy Fingers in Makati. He has also done shows in Zirkoh and Library. He was first runnerup at the DZMM search for a comedian and has guested on GMA-7’s “Comedy Bar” three times. Turning 38 on October 7, he considers “Usapang Lalake” his best birthday gift ever. He’s married and has two sons, William, 13 and Luis, 3.

Jobert gained fame with his comic videos uploaded in the internet, like his friends Moymoy Palaboy. He was only 20 when he got married. They separated 4 years later and he got custody of their son, now 19 years old. His ex-wife has remarried but he remains single. Now a DJ on 93.9 called Kuya Jobert, giving advice on love and life.

Boom was part of Star Circle Batch 5 as Mike de la Rosa. He did a few films and TV shows but his parents told him to finish college first. He’s now a business management graduate from La Salle and returns to showbiz managed by Ogie Diaz. He’s glad to be one of the hosts of “Usapang Lalake” but he’s also into acting. He’s in the “Tatlong Ulo” episode of “Wansapanataym” with Alessandra de Rossi. He’s projected as a “babaero” in “Usapang Lalake” but he says he’s faithful to his non-showbiz girlfriend.

Arran is the youngest in the group. He just turned 21 last June 10. He has finished HRM at Lyceum and has done several TV commercials. He also appears in “Imortal” as the best friend of Dino Imperial, Angel Locsin’s brother. Being the bunso in “Usapang Lalake”, he considers Alex, Jobert and Boom as his Kuyas. “Even if it’s the first time for us to work together, we all get along fine,” he says.
