VICE GANDA is not disturbed by reports that he’s “mayabang”. “Kasi, totoo naman yun,” he admits. “Kasi ako, outspoken ever since, honest ako, frank, hindi plastic, I say what I want to say at dahil doon, ang impression ng tao, mayabang na ako. But I’m just being myself. Actually, mas mayabang pa nga ang dating ko noong araw. Lately, na-conscious na nga ako kaya medyo tamed na ako sa ngayon.”
He wants to correct the impression that he was maltreated by his father as a child. “Tatlo kaming lalaki sa family and my two older brothers, parehong bading. Sila ang nakatikim sa father namin, hindi ako. Kasi ako, hanggang high school, lalaki ang projection ko, e. Yung eldest brother ko ngayon is a financial consultant in New York, where our mother also lives. Yung isa, kasama ko rito sa Manila. We also have two sisters. One is a doctor and one is a nurse. They’re all proud of me sa naging success ko sa showbiz lalo na ngayong may launching movie na akong ‘Petrang Kabayo’. Lahat sila, gustong mapanood ito para suportahan ang movie career ko.”
