Comedian Ariel Villasanta marries Cristina Decena, Phillip Salvador's Ex

COMEDIAN ARIEL VILLASANTA of TV5’s “Totoo TV” says he didn’t marry banker and real estate magnate Cristina Decena for her riches. “Sa totoo lang, when I first met her sa isang charity event in a remote barangay in Nueva Ecija, I didn’t know her,” he says. “But I admire her being so simple and her generosity in helping poor people. Before we parted, I got her number. Two days later, I invited her to dinner in Greenbelt. Nagulat ako kasi kasama niya mga anak niya at mga security.”

“I decided to accept his invitation as I learned my Australian boyfriend has another girl in Hongkong,” says Cristina. “Sinama ko pati security ko kasi hindi siya mukhang mapagtitiwalaan. Noong bayaran na, he insisted to pay for all of us. E, sa past boyfriends ko, akong nagbabayad.”

Two months after they met, they got married in Hongkong on Nov. 6. “He requested for a pre-nup para raw di isipin ng tao he’s just after my properties,” adds Cristina. “Ariel is actually also well off. He’s been with PLDT for 20 years na and heads their creative division that makes audio visual presentations. He has two other jobs. So for the first time, may lalaking hindi aasa lang sa’kin. We married in Hongkong kasi ako lang ang annulled ang marriage. He’s divorced from his first wife, now in the U.S. married to an American, but di pa sila annulled dito. They have two kids both grownups na rin. My ex-husband now also lives in the U.S. and I informed him about my decision. What I like in Ariel is his devotion to his 83-year old mom. Only son kasi siya. Na-Ondoy sila sa Provident and he showed me the new house he built, parang Cultural Center sa taas. Siya rin ang first boyfriend kong nagustuhan ng mama ko at mga anak ko.”

“My mom also likes her kasi siya lang nakakumbinsi sa’kin to cut my long hair,” adds Ariel. “Sabi ng mom, mukha na kong tao dahil sa kanya. I have an 8 to 5 job and she prepares lahat ng clothes ko in the morning. We’ll wed again in Macau, then sa Ukraine and next year, sa U.S.”
