Gina Alajar says Joshua and Barbie refuses to come out of their comfort zones

AT THE PARTY of “Eat Bulaga” exec Malou Choa-Fagar, we congratulated “Tween Hearts” director Gina Alajar for the show’s success. “Dahil mataas ang rating, Tween Hearts is extended up to our 20th week,” she says. “Credit should be given to the kids as they’re all good. May mga mas attentive nga lang na nakikinig talaga sa director, like Joyce Ching, Bea Binene, and Derek Monasterio, although madaling kabahan si Derek pag take na.” How about Joshua and Barbie? “Okay naman sila, but they refuse to come out of their comfort zones so they just keep on doing what they’re used to, kahit sabihin mong there are other ways of doing things.”

What can she say that the rival channel pitted against them her niece Andi Eigenmann? “Oo nga. Kasi before, si Carmen Soo ang katapat namin pero biglang pinalitan. Andi’s brother, Gabby, is with us in ‘Tween Hearts’ so magkalaban silang magkapatid ngayon.”

Gina is now a “lola”. Her eldest son Ryan and wife Cathy gave her a granddaughter. “Ay, nakakaloka, lalo na’t girl e di puro boys ang anak ko. She’s now four months old at nagre-react na kaya tuwang-tuwa ako. I told her to call me Lola. Ayoko ng iba pang tawag dahil lola naman niya talaga ako.”
