Jackie Rice became a rebel after her parents broke up

WRITERS INTERVIEWING JACKIE RICE at the “Ilumina” presscon didn’t succeed in convincing her to reveal the identity of her non-showbiz BF. “Wag, he’s shy, ayaw niyang pagpiyestahan siya ng press pag nakilala siya,” she says. “Basta he’s very nice. Very close siya maging sa staff ng ‘Ilumina’ he met while visiting me sa taping. Nine months na kami at sana magtagal talaga. Very clear sa kanya na priority ko pa rin ang career ko. At least, napatunayan ko sa GMA na hindi na ko pasaway. Unlike before na pag na-in love ako, nalilimutan ko work ko.” She says the reason why she was wayward then was she’s also rebellious after her parents splitup. “Nahirapan ako tanggapin ngayon. I was hoping magbalikan sila. I talked to them, parang batang iniyakan ko sila pareho kasi nasanay akong kasama sila pareho buong buhay ko. But now, tanggap ko na ang desisyon nilang maghiwalay. It’s their life, at dapat, di ako magpaapekto dahil may sarili rin akong buhay.”

She’s happy to be part of “Ilumina”. “Dahil dito, we became good friends nina Rhian Ramos at Aljur Abrenica. I was also given the chance to work with great actors like Christopher de Leon and Cesar Montano. Andami kong natutuhan sa kanila.”
