WE WERE INVITED to the victory party hosted by Gov. Chavit Singson and his opulent Corinthian Gardens mansion last Monday night. It was a grand affair with a live band at that to provide music for the guests who are a combination of showbiz and politics. Annabelle Rama, a good friend of Gov. Chavit, was there with sons Richard, Raymond, Richie Paul and Elvis Gutierrez, plus her talents Michelle and Ehra Madrigal, Carla Humphries, Jon Hall, Jay Manalo, Paolo Paraiso, and “Starstruck Philippines” finalists Solenn Heussaff and Ervic Vijandre. Jean Saburit came with erstwhile estranged daughter Nicole Anderson, who told us she just finished international business and management at the University of San Francisco.
Also present were Azenith Briones and her goodlooking son. Four of the Revilla Sisters were there: Tina, Maritess, Cita and Pita Revilla. Tina came with husband Serge Valencia and their eldest son who’s also a looker and is now about to finish his studies as a pilot. Her only daughter graduated summa cum laude from UP. Cita came with her daughter Chelsea. Tina told us their dad, former LVN matinee idol Armanda Goyena, no longer recognizes them due to Alzheimer’s disease. “He’s still healthy at 88, but so sad that he doesn’t know us anymore,” she sighs. Vivian Velez was also present and we teased her about her controversial comment on Marian Rivera. “I never thought it would be blown out of proportion that way,” she says. Pacmania was very much alive that night as everyone wants to have their picture taken with the champ who was obliging and willingly posed with all the guests, table by table, with wife Jinkee in tow.
